Occasionally programs on your PC need to be updated in order to keep up with technology out on the Internet.....try visiting the Adobe Flash Player site and download the latest version of the program - before starting the download process make sure you UNTICK the offer for the Y*ahoo toolbar - it's not needed and it adds spyware to your PC. You can find the program here: http://www.adobe(.)com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash Might as well update another needed program as well, Adobe Shockwave: http://www.adobe(.)com/shockwave/download/download.cgi Both are needed in order to view websites and other things offered out in cyberspace. Remember to remove the ( ) from the addresses above. Judy |

I have given up trying to see other people's trees on here. If I am only interested in a couple of names I look at the immediate family view. Any more I ask if they can send me a gedcom which I look at in family tree maker. I have my tree on tribal pages which you can do for free and if any one has trouble I just redirect them. Anne |

I have just tried opening my tree and received the same message, however when asked if I wished to cancel I clicked no then waited. After a few minutes my full tree has appeared. Good luck, Brian |

Margaret, This is happening to me too and it freezes my computer each time I try to access other trees. I have to close down and reboot. I wrote to Genes last week and their reply was 'They are aware of the problem and they are trying to fix it' Well, I wish they would hurry up because it is driving me mad. Of course I keep trying to see if I can access others trees and then I freeze it is very frustrating. Hope it gets sorted soon. Beryl x |

Hello Folks Since I have joined Genes Reunited, I have found two relatives which is just fantastic, but I still can't look at family trees of those who have ticked them for me to look at. My computer will let me see immediate family and also ancestors, but when I try to look at a full tree, it freezes up and gives me a message that 'a script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?' I have the latest Adobe Flash Player (9), running Win XP, and have allowed cookies and popups from this site but still no go- any ideas from anyone out there? Thanks Margaret |
