Hi...would like to obtain a birth certificate for a relative who was born in 1808, does anyone know where to search for data before 1837 ? Simon Jones |

Only Parish records i'm afraid. No birth, or deaths were recorded. Only baptisms or burials. Try www(.)familysearch(.)org That can be very helpful trying to find people before 1837, but always check your findings, as the entries can be wrong a lot of the time. |

Hello Simon, there weren't any birth certs in 1808. Only baptisms (other members please correct me if wrong). Suggest you have a look for the baptism on the familysearch website. Also you might get quickers answers for this kind of question on the tips board. Best of luck, Selena |
