Little Lost

Little Lost Report 10 Nov 2006 22:39

I have not been many times to Arran and when we go we tend to go just to mums cousins hotel. Have a meal or swim in their pool then back to the ferry again. Maybe one day I will go exploring the hills and mountains up that way We had an open top bus ride around Rothesay a couple of years back and that was great and of course we saw Arran from the top of the bus.

My mother who is 81 worked at the munitions site at Ardeer so she was thrilled to see it . I have rellies on Arran and have been many times, beautiful place. I do think they labour the point sometimes as when blowing up the boxes. The last series was a bit slicker. Jeanie A.

The series is very interesting, but can't work out why they are 'jumping around' this series. Last time they worked round in chronological order? Angela

I recorded it as I hoped to get a glimpse of my mums cousins hotel at blackwaterfoot. I have been there before and seen it in holiday brochures but would have been nice to see it on tele but alas no such luck lol

I have ancestors from Somerset/Wiltshire area and, of course, Rosses all from the East coast of Scotland. I just don't feel any connection to Scotland particularly though; strange that.....

Last night's programme was about mainly the west coast of Scotland. I loved the last series and thoroughly enjoying this second series. I know Scotland has some beautiful scenery and history etc. but..... considering my forefathers were Scottish I felt absolutely no connection at all with this part of the country. Odd isn't it.....?
