My neice who owns her own business, recently needed some attention on her heating system. The engineer came to have a look and gave her an estimate of £100 per hour to look at the problem. To make matters worse this is someone she actually knows. Needless to say he didn't get the work... |

I sometimes think that they simply don't want the job and so price themselves out of the market. It must be nice to be earning so much that you can afford to turn work away. |

£100 seems about par for the course. My son recently had to have a new pilot light assembly fitted and thats what it cost him. He had a couple of quotes one wanted more on top to fix the problem so he turned this down. |
