Hi, I need a little help in my Family Tree Maker Prog, I want to send a file to a contact with all the information of the person chosen which is related to them and all there relations. This contact hasn't got FTM Prog. How would I send it please. Thanks, Wendy R |

You can export the info into acrobat or word, depending on the type of report. Personally I'd choose the Genealogy report aas it includes all the notes as well. If they have any type of tree software send them the .GED file too Jeff |

Many members use this regularly to send information to other people. Create an FTM report that gives you the information you want to send. You have lots to choose from Ancestor, Descendant, Hourglass, Genealogy, Kinship etc. With the report of your choice on screen, click on the File drop down then on Export whatever tree / report (wording reflects the report you have chose, it is about six options down from the top, then the type of file you want (many will only save to pdf, some such as a genealogy report will save to a text file / word document Finally give the file a name and save it somewhere that you can find it again, such as my documents. You can now email it to someone. |
