He was a lifelong Southend United supporter - went to just about every home game over a period of 60 years. He would be just hoarse from shouting but so so thrilled. Brilliant result, fantastic performance from a team with just 16 fit professional players available tonight - 2 of whom were injured! I hope they get a good draw in the quarter final and get a nice earner from this cup run. Also hopefully it will kick-start their league form and they will stay in the Championship.
