I can cope with the fact that people do not respond to my inital message. In fact I have been very lucky with hotmatches. What gets my goat is when I receive a message from someone and they say for eg. I see you have Daniel Brewerton in your tree, so do I. Then I write back saying, yes we have a match and I have loads of info on tribalpages and foolishly give them my TP address, and I never hear from them again. This has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I sent them all a message asking if they enjoyed looking at my tree. The first has not replied, the second said she had been sick and the third said he was busy on his other tree and would get back to me later!!! |

Sorry Pat, Just being truthful! I echo what Teresa said, some people probably put their trees on here a while back & have since changed email addresses. They may not be as obsessed as we are & haven't been back to GR lately! Don't take it personally - and it's probably their loss. Best wishes Angela |

Lots of people are lapsed members, so are not coming back to check their messages. Also some may have forgotten to inform GR of any email address change, so they will not be receiving notifications. It's not always people just being rude, although its disappointing. |

Yep, I've posted on General Board before, about how disappointing Hot Matches and number of replies are. - For me anyway. |

I'm fed up with the Hot Matches. Over the last few months were there has been a connection I have contacted the member and only got 3 replies from pages of matches. I can only assume that the majority are non paying members as I will not believe all these members are rude. I personally think it is a waste of time putting your names on here if there is no possibility of contacting anyone. With 88 million names on here and 5 million trees I ask myself how many are NON paying members. There moan over for the day, hope I haven't offended anyone if so I apologise and will delete this.
