Why isn't anyone else researching the same people as me?! I have had so much help from people willing to do searches etc but so far have only found one link or one person willing to admit to it - lol! Is this usual??? Ju x

You're not alone... lol I despair when I get my llist of Hot Matches; I plough through them, politely send emails and nearly always get nothing back. Sent loads about a week ago, 4 people have kindly replied. Oh well....

I know what you mean! My grandmother has unusual surname and comes from a very small area in Italy. I have never seen her surname anywhere but I found someone that had it in their tree and emailed her and got nothing back!!! I would have been so happy if someone had contacted me about it - its strange that others dont necessarily seem fussed! Ju x

hi, i know what you mean , i get messages from people saying are you soand so / or do you know if your john is related to my john is he married to so and so . then when i answer i never get a reply i find it so frustrating hazelx

Yes that's the thing; if I get an enquiry from someone about a person in my tree I ALWAYS reply and open my tree. Then... nothing. UUrrrggg

yes , i had one the other week saying i dont seem to have access to your tree well why would they, i dont even know them? hazelx

I'm beginning to think that others have searched my family, found a skeleton, or rather a whole family of skeletons in the cupboard, and thrown the lot on the bonfire, never to be spoken about again!!! I seriously cannot be the only one searching my lot, surely?

hi Caz, yes i did some time back ago i was researching in northaw herts. but for some reason i left there and went to bisops storford and followed right back to 1700s i was even in touch with someone who said she would open up her tree for me to see . it was only then that i relised i was on the wrong track hazelx

I just dont get it! Not one of the rellies had less than 5 children, yet none of them seem to have any descendants!!!! Its had me going crazy!!!!! Isnt everyone interested in their family history?! Ju x
