I think I have a ghost in my house too or i'm starting to think poltergiest (unsure of spelling). Recently the fire wouldn't light, computer and freeview box keep going on the blink, now this weekend the water bolier pilot light has gone out and won't relight. On top of that taps are running in the middle of the night even though I have double checked they have been turned off before I go to bed. Cats are acting very strange and seem to be staring at something even though I can not see what it may be. Is this a ghost/poltergiest and just bad luck? Tx

Certainly sounds like someone's trying to get your attention Tonya. Poltergeist activity tends to be found around teenagers. Something to do with all those raging hormones and pent up Psychokinetic energy *eek* They're not even aware they're the cause most of the time. Electrical malfunctions? Well that could be down to you. Do you find you affect electrical stuff? I know I do.... My hubby plays hell with me, and I just whine like a child...'It's not my fault' ! Things just conk out around me including things like car indicators and wipers which can be frustrating. Taps turning on in the night are more intriguing. Do you notice any smells which may be familiar or cold spots. Watch the cats... they'll be your eyes and will notice things you don't. Doesn't sound like anything that means you any ill will anyway :~D XXX Sioux

The trick with the psychic smells is that sometimes one person will be able to smell something and yet others won't ( Then it means something to the person who's smelled it) And very often if you acknowledge a smell it will cease immediately, as if a spirit says 'Great you know I'm here' so they stop trying to get through by bringing the smell. You're actually sensing it deep in a part of your brain, not actually your nose, it's more of an assocoation with a smell, which is why it can disapear so quickly. We often smell what I describe as a 'dirty ashtray smell' in our house. No one here smokes - not even guests. It's actually the previous owner who's now passed on, who was our landlords elderly father. We've confirmed he smoked like a chimney LOL. So now when we smell it, we just say hello, yes your house is fine and we're behaving ourselves. Hahahaha. Sometimes a smell you get(pipe tobacco, perfume, roses, brylcream was one for me!) will prompt a memory which you'll associate with a particular person... odds on it'll be that person, just wafting by to say hello. Whn we first moved into our house, there was a very uneasy feeling in it. After 18 months it still didnt feel like home thats the best way to explain it. My brother passed away 2 weeks later whist alone in the house a song came on the radio which was my brothers song, followed by a over powering smell of flowers. It was after that my house started to feel like home, I have no idea if it's any thing to do with the 'other side' but it freeked me out for a while.
