Just found this Dawn he must be the bogey man Germaine x If we were naughty in the evening, mum would say 'Dicky Dark will come and get you' to scare us. I am guessing she got it from her mum as granny still says it to the great grandchildren (and it works).' Wonder if it comes from this Programme 8 – “Murder at Berkeley Castle” This week’s challenge is to solve a 300 year-old murder mystery and uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of Berkeley Castle’s last jester in 1725. According to legend, the family jester, Dicky Pearce, toppled from the minstrels’ gallery to his death…Legend or fact?
