WW2 Deaths Registration??

If a person was killed in action overseas during the war, in this case RAF bombing actions over Germany, are their deaths officially registered anywhere, as in the normal BMD registrations? |

My uncle was killed in WW2 overseas and his death was found on what used to be 1837(.)com but now renamed findmypast(.)com http://www.findmypast(.)com/BirthsMarriagesDeaths.jsp remove brackets |

Dont know where they are registered but I always look first on commonwealth wargraves commision site. |

Keith, I have the death certificate for my great-uncle who was killed in May 1918, in Ploegsteert, Belgium. |
