Do you have to have a tan all year round, even at the cost of your health? I hate sunbathing,I dont use sunbeds, ive seen some awful sights here with sundamage, women who look 20 years older just so they can have a tan!Yuck! prunes and crocodiles springs to mind, just awful!

I saw that programme the other night-well what can I say. I thought the elderly couple were lovely and the lady who parties and has the spray tan. She looked good bless her. Did you see her with a vodka swaying to elvis looking up at his pictures. The rest well!!!! catherine xx

I'm fair-skinned and burn quite easily so I'm very careful. Hate sunbathing anyway and don't go on 'beach' holidays - much prefer sightseeing and the countryside. I used to work with a woman (age about 33) who always goes to Caribbean and just lays in the sun all the time - she was practically black this year and I thought 'You'll regret that in 15 years time'!!

I know A lady that has had so many face lifts because of tanning too much, she keeps tanning ,she said she wont stop because she can get her face fixed:-)) But her body is wrinkled too so her body and face dont match!what an odd way to think!

Rox, that lady should know that nature always has the last laugh, like it or not. Personally, I do tan - when I wipe the lotion from the bottle! lol At this time of year, I just try for a healthy glow on my face and neck - again, courtesy of the bottle! Rather that than risk skin cancer. x Off to do tea now x

Hazel, we used to have a neighbour like that, even in the winter he used to sit by the bedroom window with a mirror to reflect the suns rays !!. AND he wore loads of gold chains and medalions - yuk. Thought he was Gods gift - if only he knew. Libby x

Penny, agreed! Im sorry you have this problem. when I was younger I loved the sun, but have seen what it can do,I think I just stopped before it got out of hand. I swim so I still get some colour, but I just cant stand that burning feeling on my skin, which is a good thing I think. I dont worry about looking pale in winter, Im rather dark skinned anyway.
