ASBO name and shame pillars

there was a woman from a childrens society defending them saying it is wrong cos you are criminalising the kids. But surely they are criminals anyway to get an ASBO |

There's some news on the BBC website that is saying that ASBO's are a badge of honour now and not treated seriously so I expect youngsters are enjoying their 15 minutes of fame! ;o( |

Somewhere in the North East (Hull Ithink) has put up a name and shame pillar in the centre of town with pictures of people with ASBO. There was a phone in poll and 83% agreed and 17% disagreed with it. Some say they will treat it as a hall of fame and want to be put on the pillar. But others say maybe the parents will realise whats happening and take more control over their youngsters. What do youthink? I think its a good idea so that all the locals know who to avoid.. |
