Mine was a traditional 'scrumpy' type cider - cloudy and strong enough for the vapours to strip paint! Seemed like a good idea at the time. Unfortunately I got food poisoning from it - was as sick as a very sick, sick thing. Cannot bide the smell of cider at all ever since. (And Yes, I do mean food poisoning, have been sick from drinking too much - but not on this occasion). Once visited the Mother in Law and she had cooked a joint of ham in cider as 'a special treat'. Ended up sat in the garden turning every shade of green imaginable - couldnt even go back in the house for hours! Helen x x

White wine is my downfall, it really sends me over the hill and I see double of everything with it. Our dept in the office had a team event last month the meal was cheaper than the wine, there was 25 staff to start with at 2.30pm and by 4pm there was only 10 and by 7.20pm the ones left including myself we had got through 35 bottles of wine in an afternoon, I was and a few others were not very well the next day but we had a great time.

Red wine! The stuff they served on a barbeque cruise from Skiathos, the greek island. The cruise was brilliant, swimming from the boat, diving and horsing around with the kids. Then the Barbie, the boat beached bow first with a duckboard to climb down at the bow. Lots of crispy chicken and, erm, other things. May have been goat. The wine came in three foot high plastic bottles, by the time we got the grub I'd already had too much sun, and soon had too much plonk! Everytime your plastic cup was half empty they refilled it, I found it very difficult getting back up the duckboard, picture if you will me hanging on to the bow of the boat with a leg each side of the board trying to regain a footing! On the way back I was propped up head over the side, which was of a red hue by the time we got to Skiathos town. Staggered back to the apartment, slung in shower by wife and kids and sluiced down. Felt - rough? Never done it again!
