recorded this on Sunday ( I think ) but just watched it. A rather sad story. Wonder if their daughter did put herself on the net.......

I watched it, having read the story a while ago. To me she was a bit of an ocd type too, awful to realise it was a true story. I wonder if things would have been different if her parents had given her more consistent parenting, and not spoiled her so much when younger. The problem might not have become so huge if boundaries had been put in place early on, there might have been a way of helping everyone before the money problems started. I felt so sorry for the mother having to work as she does, but at least the girl is not with her mother 24/7 so the woman can live a bit of a normal life, while teaching. What will happen when she can no longer work tho? Liz

I couldnt understand why it was left so late before getting help. The dad said it started when she was about 8. Surely at 8 years old they didnt buy her expensive shoes just for the sake of it. The tantrum she would have then they would have been able to cope with. What would have happened to her if both parents had been successful with their suicide pact.
