my best friend had 8 and 4 page boys, i think its personal choice really it took ages for them to all get down the aisle, my 2 youngest daughters were amongst the 8, personally i think it was afew to many but its your day and your decision xxLynnxx

My daughter got married on Saturday. She just chose her best friend from school (they are 30 now!) and it was great to just have one person to look after the bride - that's what they are for after all! My daughter has been a bridesmaid when there were 8 and they were such a stress to the bride instead of helping her. anne

Well i have 3 nieces, 2 god-daughters and 5 close friends that i would want. The grown ups would pay for their own dresses but i would pay for the children. Dont know whether it looks over the top! x

Did it work out having 7 bridesmaids?? I guess mine would be 1 maid of honor, 6 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls...

I'm sorry, I don't want to cause a fight but when you get married surely the bride/groom and parents' should pay for all bridemaid dresses/flower girl dresses/page boy suits etc? Tricia

Think you should have whatever you want it is your day. When my daughter married she had one maid of honour 2 bridesmaids and 2 page boys . I made the dresses and we paid for the material and the hiring of the boys suits. But I think whatever suits evreyone if they don't mind paying for the dress then accept gracefully. Germaine x

My aunt had 4 bridesmaids and 2 paige boys, her sister maid all the dresses (including my aunt's) as well as the the paige boys salor suits. Think my mam had 7 (her friend, her cousins and dad's neice) dad payed for his neices dress and mum payed for one of the cousin's, 2 dresses were recycled from another wedding and had been had made by the girls mum, 2 dresses were made up to match the previous 2 and the made of honour payed for her's if memory serves.
