world record for most grand children

anybody know what the world record would be for the most grandchildren? Or does any of your rellies have loads of grandchildren. My mum has 7 so far and 3 great grandchildren |

When my G-g-grandmother died in 1985 (at 94yrs) she had: 4 children, 13 Grandchildren (that I know of), 23 Great-grandchildren (that I know of) and 2 g-g-grandchildren (12 more born since then at least and 1 g-g-g-grandchild born this year) |

Don't know about the world record for most grandchildren but just looked in my Guiness Book and there is an entry for most Generations alive at once. The youngest great-great-great-great grandmother is Augusta Bunge (usa) aged 109yrs 97 days, followed by her daughter aged 89, her grandaughter aged 70, her great gran-daughter age 52, and her great-great grandaughter age 33, her great-great-great gran-daughter age 15 on the birth of her great-great great great grandson on the 21st Jan 1989. Just before my Nan died in 2001 she had 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren. If she had still been alive she would have had an extra 7 g grandchildren and 1 g g grandchild. 4 of her grandchildren still have no children, and 6 others are still working on their families. So there will probably be a few more soon. lol Jackie |

Blimey 39 grandchildren at age 59.. I have 3 and that is plenty for me. Thats amazing about the most generations alive in one family. Think they cheated by having a son when she was aged 15 though lol |

My mum is the eldest of 16 children so my dear grannie who will be 90 in January has as follows 16 children 46 grandchildren 53 great grandchildren and now one new gg grandchild. I am one of seven (second eldest) and my youngest sisters (twins) became aunties at the age of 4. Chalk it up to the long cold east coast winters. lol |

My mum turned 60 in April. She has 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild born in February (making me a great aunt at 23!) My grandad (86 yrs) has 2 children, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren! Ju x |
