Is next Saturday at the Woking Leisure Centre . This is probably the best fair in the country as far as research facilities go, here's a snippet from their website . 'A separate Research Room has been set aside for those wishing to search the Society’s transcripts and indexes. In addition Jeanne Bunting and John Hanson will be providing a Computer Help Desk for searches of ‘those hard to find’ and ‘brickwall’ ancestors in the 1901 and 1881 census. Don’t forget to bring your relevant details of your research with you so that you can take advantage of all the research facilities . We welcome disabled visitors. Access is via the main entrance to the Leisure Centre. If the disabled bays in the car park are taken up, please contact the Leisure Centre Reception so that special arrangements can be made .' Free parking and there is a cafeteria on site, well worth a visit . Full details here : http://www.wsfhs.org/Openday.htm . Ron . www*genealogyprinters*com |

I'll be there on saturday, I've been for the past couple of years and it's always a good one. It's not just for people with Surrey ancestors, I think most of the family history societies from London and the South of England will have a stall there aswell as a few from further afield. Carolyn |
