Very stupid to be smug about your children I think the saying is there by the grace of god go I... Remember when our second youngest was about 15 he was at the school party and they phoned for us to come and get him as he was drunk along with his friends - well one of the mothers was on that phone to me immediately and all the others were getting the blame her little ...... would never think of doing such a thing! so I just asked calmly have you got some bottles of home made wine missing? enough said - lovely to be smug.

I had a similar experience though much milder, with my neighbour years ago. We were living in a double catchment area for the primary schools, my kids went to the nearest one, and her daughter went to the one on the next housing estate. She said to me one day, she would send her daughter to the same school as my kids because they all come out swearing and using foul language. My kids, up to then, hadn't done that at all. Later that same day, she called her daughter in for her tea, and she refused to come in, so neighbour got cross and shouted at her to get in NOW! Daughter told her to F** Off'! I just looked at her and shook my head lol

The word 'smug' comes to mind, and rightfully so!

just had a talk with neighbour,and shes a lovely lady,but sometimes her kids could be naughty,[12-15].shes a good mum,with good values,but her hubby died and its been hard on them.eldest had a spot of bother with the police 2 weeks ago.and the woman down the road had a field day saying how she was a bad mum,and the kids were out of control.i pointed out that its so easy to kick someone when there down,and that she will just have to hope her kids live up to her expectations.my final words [ish] to her were ...THOSE THAT LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES,SHOULD,NT THROW STONES.her daughter has just been arrested by police for joyriding.they picked her and her mates up,after they hit a car just up the road from me.hmmmmmmm....i rest my case
