Yes, Ancestry's very good. You can get basic details of the houssehold members plus who their neighbours were on the same census page. And it's free.... Sylvx |

If you go to Historical Records on Ancestry, type in name of your ancestor, birthyear and place born, then select if you want births, marriages or deaths, or Census. Click on Census and it will come up with all the Censuses that name can be found in. The 1881 and 1901 are free. |

Or do what I do, go to the home page on Ancestry, scroll down under the map, and you will find the list of records. 1881 and 1901 are free, the rest will take you to the membership page if you are not a paid member. You'll also find BMDs listed there too. |
