Just had a barney with my OH. Blimey must be my day for it. All the hassle hoff on here (no disrespect Hassle you sexy beast). You are a man aren't you. Just my luck if you are female and I am the last one to know it! Yesterday had the mugger or was it the b****r. Day before it was food on the brain. Blimey and I think I have a boring life.... Had granddaughter overnight. My little angel. Was awake most of the night with either her foot in my ear or the nappy! Spend most of this morning playing shops and her wrecking the house. Then got involved on here once she had gone. House is a tip. Can always be fixed after all I am a relative of Mary Poppins.... perfect in every way (not). Hubby wants his dinner. He's only tripped over her toy buggy and banged his head on the kitchen door. Sorry, I was in hysterics. He has a sense of humour failure at the moment but he will come round when he needs to know how to open a tin of peas as I have got the a***ache now and he can cook for himself. What a wicked c*w I am. What on earth happened to that so laid back Scottish granny. Oh, here he comes. All sweetness and light. Can opener dear, here it is.......have a nice trip darling. You should see what she has cooked up in the living room for him! Just waiting for the scream. Don't you just love it. Aileen xx

Oh namesake you are a scream and it was all going so hunky dory the last time we spoke...I know I would have had a few hysterics if I had witnessed your OH somersaulting over the buggy!! Not only do we share our name but methinks we laugh at the same things!

Hi all, Well if you can't laugh at yourself who else can you laugh at. Laughter makes the world go round. Heck I've had so many brilliant jobs in my time,. even worked in an undertakers! Used to go home every night and if we had any bodies used to say goodnight to them as a mark of respect. One night said goodnight and one of them passed wind. Not unusual I am led to believe. Almost jumped in the coffin with him. My daughters say I should write a book about all these funny things. Can't be naffed. Would rather give you lot on here a laugh. Take care and as Dave Allen always said, May your God go with you. Aileen xx ps he managed to get seated and escape granddaughter's minefield. What a bummer. .

I have learned to laugh at myself, Aileen. One needs a good sense of humour, and yours and mine, I believe, are similar ... :-)

Hi Oh what a joy that thread was. Brings back lovely memories Only started it as a joke and it snowballed. Ended up with thousands of hits and had to keep restarting the thread. Our film crew thread gave us so much fun. Can't get in touch with Pat, Christine in Edinburgh and John in NZ who made it such a joy. Hope they are alright. Did PM Lucia but she hasn't replied oh and Daisy was another contributor and others whose names I apologise I have forgotten. Will start it again if it is of interest to anyone, but must admit we did it late at night. Actually will have to do it earlier as I go to bed now and read my latest novel until the early hours rather than be on here. Aileen xxx ps P**d off hubby is on the prowl. Aileen, I am in stitches here, just waiting for my grumpy o.h. to return home from a 12 hr shift, happy little soul he will be - not! Please keep making us laugh and if you don't write a book, at least print out your threads and file them together, think of everyone reading that in 100 years time!!! But, take care, Liz

Hi Marion, Will restart it probably tomorow for a laugh. It was lots of fun and no Hassle. Oh my God mentioned him again. Won't be able to get his head through a door at this rate. Had enough Hassle today....sitting on my hands. He is haunting me now! They have started another thread about him and I am responsible. He might run amock through the site. What have I started.....?
