You may be right Ann, I know there are restrictions, but I'm only given a months supply anyway, and believe me, they won't be wasted lol. |

I have a feeling, somebody correct me if I am wrong, that the restriction on repeats is a government (what else) initiative. I can only get enough of my BP tablets now for 2 months at a time. I think it is to save wasted medicine. Ann Glos |

Yes I did get my painkillers Polly, but she has restricted the repeats to three months and told me I would have to come back for the next lot, rather than phone in a repeat. To be honest, I came out of there feeling like she thought I was a fraud! Won't be seeing her again. |

Went to the Docs this morning, my doc is still on holiday (5 weeks now) so had to see a locum. A young German woman, who looked right down her nose at me, didn't want to give me my prescription for my painkillers, very hesitant about signing me off again, until she realised I would not be working with my arthritis anyway, and refused to prescribe any patches to help me give up smoking, said I would have to do it myself, patches are no good. She also argued that waiting lists for hip replacements are only 6 months here, she tried to say it would be at least two years before I was offered one. Told her I was on the list and would get it done after Christmas, and she wouldn't have it so I walked out! What does she know? Grrr |
