I’m back from my weekend in Dublin and what a fab time we had! Did plenty of drinking, shopping and walking, and watched some fireman drag a bloke out of the Liffey! I could now do with a week in bed to recover! lol Highlight of the weekend was the city bus tour. Our tour guide was very entertaining and sang the whole of Molly Malone to us……and of course we joined in! The lowlight of the weekend was eventually finding the Dublin Records Office only to discover it had closed half an hour before we got there! lol The Irish people were very friendly and polite, and brilliant story tellers. I would like to go back again some day and tour round the country and see some of the sights. As for my ISP, well I got on the phone to them this morning and gave them an ear full. I won’t bore you with the details, but I can tell you that as soon as I told them I was very annoyed with their attempt to blackmail me, they had everything sorted out in a jiffy and apologised profusely! I did come back to some terrible news though. A friend of mine (known her since I was 8 years old) died on Friday. She was only a few years older than me. She leaves a husband and 2 children. Cause of death is unknown and we await the coroners report later today. Rest in peace Tina |
