Have only used a researcher to 'act as eyes' in a record office and look up references I specified. If I have a problem, be it deciding where to look or mulling over alternatives, then so will they! I am not prepared to pay someone for 'thinking' time and chasing up dead ends - there is no guarantee that they can come up with the goods, just because they're being paid. Jay

I have met Gill Blanchard who advertises in some of these mags. She runs classes at Norwich Family History Centre. She is a lovely lady who knows her stuff, but I have not used her for research. She does have a website & responds to e-mails quite quickly. Ang x

Save your money Paul ! unless you wish to get ripped off !!! There are lots of people on here who would be willing to help you overcome your present obstacle, my advise to you would be, once you get a lead ' do your own research ! ' it is much more fun ' Believe me.

Anyone ever used any of these? I've come to a complete stand still and was thinking about contacting a professional in one of these ads. Any one had an good or bad expieriences with them?
