General Chat

I'v not been looking on here for long, but I do look on the general and tips board, sometimes a thread will catch my eye and will have alook. I have worked out that there was aproblem in the past between certain members, some have now left, others have stayed, but there seem to be a problem still! I thought this site was for genealogy research, not for moaning Very confused chris

I've only recently been coming on the General board, where it does seem you can post about all sorts of things.I wasn't on here when all this 'trouble' brewed up some weeks ago - I like to come on, lend some support if necessary, have a go at the games on here and enjoy. Don't want to become too embroiled with other things that are going on for other people.... Anyway, welcome !!! Sylvxx

Er yes Chris , you weren't mistaken, this is a genealogy site & most of us are too busy doing our tree to get mixed up in the catfights!!!! Also most people on here are brilliant, there are a few iffy ones, once you get to know everyone you can judge for yourself who to steer clear of.........if there's any left, lol !!!

You are right Christine - the site is for genealogy research, but this particular board is a 'general' board, open for all sorts of debates. Topics discussed on this board should not really overlap on to the others. I hope you are successful with your research. Jacqui

hi chris, and welcome,this is a great site with loads of friendly people willing to help those of us who are new to this game,i dont get involved with the nastiness on here but some people love causing havoc,weve lost a few wery good and experianced researchers over the past months,which is a shame,but glad to say weve still got lots of lovely people still here,happy hunting suexx

Hi Christine, and welcome to the site, yeah..it does seem to be having more than its share of ups and downs at the moment...but there are still a few of the good old ones left on here, that are more than welcome to talk or help you with your tree, or just have fun....hopefully the other ones will get bored with the intelligent ones, and either go away or realise that life is to short to keep arguing, after all it is such hard work to be horrible all of the time isn't it.?..lol....anyway try and have fun and good luck with your tree......Lilly

Thanks for your welcome, but how you work out who good and who not I will never know, I do know that some can be very helpful as I have asked question,but even on the genral board I thoughr it would be more about family trees chris
