Thanks for all your thoughts again. Baby had another seizure yesterday but beofre that was smiling and kicking her legs and then another seizure they controlled it with ?drugs,so I am hoping there will be no longterm damage,poor little mite. |

sending positve thoughts to all the family. my daughter had meningitis when she was 2,she had a less than 10% chance of survival but 9 yrs on shes fighting fit and has only one small scar on her ankle. the positive thoughts that people give mean so much when you are going through something like this,we would meet people in the waiting room and they would say 'i'm going to pray for her on sunday' and many things like that.we'll never know what got her through it but i know that everyones wishes helped, love to all, Karen x |

Just to let you all know that my cousins baby is home and doing well,she is still on medication to control her seizures but they hope to wean her off. She is feeding well and smiling ankicking her little legs. I hope she hasn't been left with any long term effect. thank you for all your messgaes I'm sure they have helped |

Good news and hope she continues to improve. I used to childmind a little boy who had had meningitis when he was2, I had him for six years from the age of nearly 4. He had been left deaf in one ear, but you would never have known, except he used to hold his head a little to one side to make sure his good ear was 'toward' you, if you know what I mean. He was treated the same as the others at school and everywhere and is doing fine, grown up now and living away from Norfolk, with his girlfriend. Liz |
