I've emailed support threee time now about this and they have ignored every message. Do support ever reply? I can't use this system if I can not see other tress. Peter

Its the same for everyone, but you should be able to see who has permitted you to view their tree on the contact list.

Hi Peter I believe that if you go onto your own tree a list is available of shared trees is on the top right hand corner. Hope this helps Lynda

I lkooked in the drop down list on 'My Family Tree'. but the shared tree isn't there. I emailed them last week, who knows when they'll get back to me. Peter

The problem I'm having is that I cannot view someone elses tree the same time as viewing my own. Is that the problem you're having also? Paul.

I used to be able to bring up immediate family ,in written form, now , people only come up in little boxes.it was handy to view,person,parents,grandparents etc:. What happened to that facility? Sunny R

The old shared tree selection screen has gone. This was at the request of a number of us members as it was less than useless where you had more than a page of names. You now access via My Contacts as mentioned. To open two trees you need to have separate windows open. Open your tree (this will open a new window) Go back to GR and open the second tree (this will also open a new window) You can now switch between your tree, the other one you are interested in, and tha main GR screen.

the problem seems to be that your contacts list just keeps getting longer if you dont delete them straight away so when looking for a tree you have to remember the persons last name then when you have several pages of contacts it can become tedious trying to find the right one. I have had several messages from a person requesting to see my tree but can not find hr in my contacts list so cant allow her.

Peter, Sorry I have to agree with the others on this one, about shared trees before it was quite easy although the only complaint before they should of been in order, but still it was so much easier, I have been given permission to view a tree so I went to shared trees and all I got was my contacts and I have about 35 pages of them not all of them have given me permission to see their tree, so how are we supposed to see the trees I havn't got the time to go through all the pages to searech for a name, it is really a mess now I can't find anyone, I am all for changes, but this way is just not working....... oh and what per cent of members were asked about this because I can't remember ever being asked about it.

Well Peter Morgella For your information some of us found it easier to look at written list of other peoples relations!!!!! If it's not broken why mend it and why oh why do GR listen to a chosen few and not the majority!!!! I am so annoyed about this!!!!
