Hi Angela It depends very much on where and when, but my Dad's ancestors originated in North Devon (Swimbridge) so could possibly be interested in combining the meet with some graveyard-plodding! Mandy x |

Hello Mandy Isn't Swimbridge the place associated with the Rev. Jack Russell? Typical isn't it - you've got ancestors from North Devon & I have a load from Wiltshire! We were in Wincanton a couple of weeks ago - is that anywhere near you? Angela |

Hi Angela I didn't know about a Rev Jack Russell connection, I'll look into it. I know that it's near Barnstaple and Bideford though. Wincanton isn't too far from me. I live near the Somerset/Wiltshire/Dorset borders at the moment. Mandy x |

Hi Angela - and Mandy! - yes, Swimbridge is associated with Jack Russell, he of the Terriers fame. He was a Parson at St Peters Church I believe (where Bob and I had our marriage blessed in 1997). In fact, there's a pub in that village named after him. Ooh! A meet in Barnstaple? I know someone there ......... (gorgeous thing she is, too! lol) Angela, we have a danceband and we rehearse most Fridays. We have a gig next week at the local Liberal Club. This evening, we've bought a few more backing tracks and have been like kids in a toy shop! Sad, eh - especially at our age (50). Sorry, I digressed. Any more for the Meet? x |

Hi Glenys Sounds like fun & not sad at all! I was only thinking Barnstaple as it is probably the easiest place to get to for most people in this area - I'm actually further West, almost into Cornwall. Anyway, any more interested? Angela |

Hi Rebekah Torquay's South Devon - about an hour and a half's drive! Are you going there soon then? I think there was an Exeter meet not long ago, but that's over 50 miles from me as well. I'm hoping to organise something for those of us up in this North-west corner. Angela |
