I dont like Jemery Irons, never had, always thought that he was up his own...... and he liked to blow his own trumpet a lot. :-p |

LOL Kris, that's the first thing I said to my hubby when we were watching it! Mind you, my two dogs are a bit more bouncy and licky than his two ;) I'm not sure why, but I didn't enjoy this programme as much as some of the others. Mandy |

I enjoyed tonights programme too. I liked his enthusiasm for his research. He really appreciated every record, picture and journal and seemed to be relishing it. I'm glad he was able to trace his roots back to Ireland. Now...I wonder if I can find out why I feel the same about North Wales... |

I thought the same! Also, he seemed determined to find an Irish ancestor and was quite sullen until he finally found one. Would his love of Ireland and the sea come from so many generations back?? Elly |

I enjoyed it but thought the same about the dogs. Nice to have somebody waiting at these places with all the information isn't it? Ann Glos |

Not keen on him, but I quite enjoyed the programme, even though his determination to find Irish roots seemed a bit contrived. Loved his dogs - so well-behaved! |

When that lady, i think her name was Nicola was reading the memorial inscriptions from the book, he looked like he wasn't in the slightest bit interested! |

I thought the stuff about Thomas Irons was fascinating - for him to have the picture and so much detail about what he did was great - pity they could not find what became of him. |

its funny but everyone noticed the dogs!! I enjoyed the programme they are trying to show people all the different ways of finding out information about our ancestors (not just their names) and that there is so much to research. i think its fantastic that there are so many personal records about people and their lives - so much better than school history lessons it really brings the past to life. |

What gets me about all the programs in this series is that each one of the celebs has had someone in their family that has been of some prominence in the community or famous in their own right that they feel the need to share. What about the ancestors that have worked hard and struggled all their lives and not achieved this granduer. Are they also not important enough to show? Jackie |
