my daughter and other half - karaoke competition

nerves are raw and the tension high in our house. both my my daughter and my partner are up against each other in a karaoke competition tonight. we have quite a few friends going along to support them. 1st prize £500, 2nd a weekend in a hotel and meal for two, 3rd prize £50 drinks vouchers. fingers crossed for them, my daughter is a singer and my partner more the comedy entertainer. tina x |

you are not wrong there! also two of my friends are in it, so loyalties are split 4 ways. think i will just get drunk tonight and let them all fight it out (so to speak) themselves. tina x |

my daughter got through to the next bit, but wasnt placed. and my partner (very dissapointed he was) didnt get through. i really thought that my daughter had a good chance of being placed (but then i am biased arn't i?) but it wasnt to be. it was her first competition, i told her to learn from it and give it another go next time. the compare told me off for not entering in the first place! was quite happy to just go and watch. yes i did have a bit too much to drink, thankgoodness i have no thick head this morning! lol tina x |
