I used to like him when he was in Eastenders too. He had a brain tumour in 2005 and had apparently had surgery more than once, plus other treatment. Sad for him and his family, has a young son I think. Liz |

Winter Drawers Ever Near | Report | 18 Oct 2006 02:22 |
Oh that is so sad. Read or saw a programme which was about Where are they Now and he was featured. Mentioned his illness and how he was fighting it. So sad that he lost the battle. He was a lovely lad. Always had a soft spot for him as he reminded me of one of my brothers, same lovely Scottish accent. Went out with the girl from Angels (remember that programme) and got a lot of media attention at the time. Unfortunately it didn't work out otherwise he would have been in my family tree. My heart goes out to his family at this sad time. Aileen xx |

That is sad news, he was great in Eastenders, I met him too-he was appearing at a (long gone) night club in our area years ago, just after he left 'enders. We had gone there for a hen night he was very popular, girls were queueing up for ages to get his autograph or have pictures taken with him. Thoughts go to his loved ones. What character did he play in Brookie then, I don't remember him in it? |
