One day in history. If you could pick a famous day in history that you would have liked to experience which day would it be. Mine would be VE day I think, the euphoria after 6 years of fear and war must have been amazing. One big party for some (but upsetting for others who had lost someone I would imagine) |

Oh yes Rosi that would be good. Was born but had no interest in football then. I'm ashamed to say the whole thing passed me by. More interested in boys at the time! |

No, I too remember the lights going on again being born 1940 I had only known darkness. Parents took us up to the top of Portsdown Hill in 1947 to see the lights over Portsmouth. Not many would consider that an outing nowadays. (We got our first car in 1947). Ann Glos |
