Hiya Caz. A few weeks ago I would've said I can't wait until my youngest starts school in September. However, just lately she has actually become really good company now that the tantrums have come to an end. I bet it is really wierd for you. xx

As a single mum I always had plenty to keep me busy when my son was small and in school, but the loneliest time was when we went for day out to the coast, and he asked if he could arrange to meet a girl from his class who lived there. He was 13 - of course I said yes, and waited at a cafe across the road, to make sure she arrived, before I went off - we would meet up again later. I wandered round feeling very despondent, almost got chatted up when I sat in a shelter on the front reading a magazine, this foreign gent who was a sailor propositioned me, said he was looking for a wife in England (so he could stay in the country I think) That was when I realised my little boy was growing up and away from his mum and I wouldn't have his company for much longer. Such a lonely feeling.
