Hi both I was stunned when i was told what the first quote was lol. It really wasnt that overgrown, just untidy and nothing a quick strim couldnt fix.........looks so neat now......im not very good at gardening (all those worms), so any offers to keep mine nice are welcome lol. |

Donna They charge what they can.................. and these days it seems to be the Earth. A friend in London is charged £65 hour whilst here in darkest kent another friend is charged £10 hour!! If I was close gal, I would have done it for you free gal...i love gardening. Gerry :-)) |

Stump Hi! i think these Gardeners charge what they like man next to us wanted a quote man just drove by rang on mobile mumbled said no can do drove off . You must have been lucky . June. |

If so, im going into the gardening business! When i moved into this new house, the garden hadnt been tended for a while.......was a bit over grown but nothing dreadful and there is a small willow type of tree which needed a good tidy up........the agent said they would have the garden done in the first instance for me.........they had two quotes to do the garden (about 30 foot, by 15 foot).......one guys quote was £162.50!! The man that actually got the work charged £40 an hour and it took him an hour.Donna |
