Was also just thinking..There are thousands of abused women, children, and men, out there..It ruins lives living with abusive people..I know, i have the physical and mental scars... Where there is no fear, there is no power... I took mum to kickboxing as it not only teaches self defence but also builds confidence..She is no longer a victim, but a strong independant woman..I used to have nightmares every night, worrying about her safety, but now can sleep as i know she can defend herself... If there are any people on here, living in those circumstances, please seek help... My heart goes out to every one of you.... oh er!!! I'm sorry for your mum if he's so violent and nasty. Maybe it's just as well he has no contact with the child and mother. catherine xx Think we all got some family secret somewhere I know my family has.

Got it wrong then Toothfairy, thought they saw something in their son, and were trying to protect the child....... ..always seems strange to me too, that someone would stay in an abusive relationship.....but I suppose you have to walk in their shoes to understand why.....

OOOh, noooo, his parents were as bad as him!!!! They were thinking of the shame of having 'their' son, having an affair with a girl who was not of age....! Me and big sis always said we thought he had a hidden life, there is something he's up to...Maybe it was trying to hide this.... I take mum to kickboxing now (she's been going for two years and is a purple belt...) She decided to stay with him even though he tried to kill her (will NEVER understand why women in her situation dont get out) So i thought it best she learnt to defend herself...I have to say, for over a year now he hasnt dared raise a finger to her.... Perhaps his parents were thinking of the welfare of the child and mother, and thought it best they were well away from its father......sometimes its best to let these things lie.......it does seem a strange thing to do though.....

So, some of you may know that my mums husband is a very violent, abusive guy...I was going to type you a list of the things he has done but as i was typing i decided some of you would find it too upsetting to read.....Lets just say he makes 'Trevour' from Eastenders (Little Mo's husband,back in the day,lol) look like a pussycat....Well.....I was doing some family research and was at mums looking through some old files when i discovered he has a 'hidden' son!!!! While he was married to his first wife he had an affair and the teenage girl got pregnant. His mum, dad and him 'paid off' the girl and told her she, nor her unborn child, would never be able to make contact...They have a signed agreement stating this!!!! He has paid Child maintainance (spelling) but the girl was told she could never reveal to the child who his father was!!!! OMG!!!!!!! How VERY disturbing!!!!! All very secretive stuff...can you imagain 'paying' somebody a huge sum to dissapear????? LOU XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
