I consider them to be leathal weapons. They terrify wild, domestic and farm animals not to mention the elderly. The noise they produce get louder every year and they are now let off all year round. Unfortunatly, I am one of those people who has a terror of loud noises such as thunder, cap guns, balloons bursting, cars back-fireing and the worst in my case, fireworks. Viv

Ban fireworks altogether!!! Thats what I say... We celibrate Guy fawks trying to blow up parliment? OK lets celibrate the suicide nutters that blew up our undergrounds and busses in London... Americans can celibrate the nutters that blew up the Twin towers? yeah! lets harm some more youngsters! animals and old folk!!! As for Divali.....whats wrong with using electric lights? Odd world init? Maybe I'm getting old but I dread this time of year. I have pets that hate it too. Gerri.

we had the first few yesterday and today but will probally still have fireworks going off in March, they seem to run from Diwali to Easter around here.

Because they are morons! Just my opinion .... all fireworks should be banned from being sold to the public and organised displays should be controlled by law. Fireworks are dangerous and should be treated in much the same respect as firearms and ammunition. Viv (firework hater)

Why do people set off fireworks in October what is the point? Also why is always late at night when people are trying to sleep?
