yesterday morning our shop was a little busier earlier than usual. Quite a few of the customers said they had been for their flu jabs at the doctors so they must have all been told to be there early. Well getting towards the end of my shift I started sneezing and feeling generally lousy which isnt really me. I am sitting here now feeling quite rough and wondering if all those that had the flu jabs have breathed their flu germs onto me.

I doubt it was the jabed customers that gave it to you as Flu has an incubation period of 1 - 4 days, typically 2 days incubation and you are infectious he day before you get symptoms. Unfortunately flu is everywhere partically between Oct and Aoril. The flu virus is usually spread in the small droplets of saliva coughed or sneezed into the atmosphere by an infected person. Direct contact with hands contaminated with the virus can also spread infection. Juse carry a hanki and wash your hand very well whilst you have symtoms to reduce risk of passing it on. And treat the symptoms - still no cure yet.

not surprisng I feel bad then as a lot of people have filthy habits. Especially putting a five pound note or tenner in thei mouths then expect me to take it from them which of course I have to do yuk

My mum had a flu jab on Monday, and Thursday she had a cold, not flu but definately under the weather, as she has lung cancer I get quite worried when she gets a cold, but I suppose its better than getting flu. Sue
