I started out with the US version but just couldn't get on with it, they do their dates 'backwards' for starters, couldn't get to grips with that at all.

I've got FTM 2006 but haven't done any family history for the last few months. When I opened it up last week, a screen came up to show that it was automatically upgrading to FTM 16, I didn't have to follow any instructions or click any boxes. However, I haven't used it since so no chance to discover any difficulties! I did receive an email from Ancestry trying to sell me v16, and I was interested because it came with another package to enable you to add a photographic timeline. I enquired of one of the UK genealogy software companies whether or not this would be any use, and they kindly confirmed that it contained only 'US History' so would be of no use to me. Mandy

Thats worrying. I've used FTM 2005 for a few years without any major issue. I've tried the FTM on line help to solve the FTM 16 issue but their suggestions didn't work. Is anybody else aware on issues with FTM 16 and UK usage.

I upgraded a few weeks ago but then read somewhere that it was of no use to UK users. Does anyone else have any information?

Has anybody upgarded to FTM 16 and successfully used the online search facility, as I'm currently unable to get this latter function to work correctly since upgrading. Jeff
