I think I have this right, any abuse shouted from a window is irrelevant, (because it could be said that the shouter was talking to someone in HIS house). However once he is on the pavement and on public land and then the abuse IS directed at you...............That can be used as Harrassment.............towards YOU ,Grannie Brian, Is that correct? Bob

Annie, The horrible insect only did it to intimmidate you. I know taking photos is a great way of grabbing evidence.... but you didn't do anything wrong!! What a disgusting way to speak to a woman. Hope your nerves have settled down now. Rescue Remedy is good for getting over shock (((hugs))) Try not to take it to heart. XXX Sioux

At worst the offence is 'driving on the footpath',, non arrestable and no endorsements. The police do not have to actually see the offence if there are witnesses and cctv or photographic evidence but it so minor it would be regarded I'm sure as 'not in the public interest to proceed' so you will probably hear nothing more. The man shouting from the window could be regarded as committing a public order offence which is more serious than your minor matter. If you do let us know and I could offer further advice.. Don't worry. Regards Brian (retd police)

Don't worry about it sounds as if you had no choice really. Shame the family had nothing better to do. I don't think you will hear about it. The son should not be taking photos of you and your car anyway.

Probably nothing. Were you on the pavement at the time he took the photos? If not he will be laughed out of the police station. If you were they will probably look at him saying 'and???' Don't worry, it's just stupid immature spite. When it comes to minor traffice offences, the police actually have to SEE you doing it before they take action.

Hi I don't think you need to worry, I'd be very surprised if anything happens to you. After all, you can be charged with joy riding, and still only get a caution! Sharon xx

Nothing much I should think. If my mum (ex copper) can take down the licence plate of someone knocking down her wall with their car and nothing comes of it, I doubt anyone from the boys in blue will be worried about you bumping up the kerb to keep the traffic moving!

Just finished work and came down the road where i work and the other side has a line of cars.Almost to to the end when a woman turns in.Instead of stopping at the end of thr road she carried on past the 2 park cars but could not get any further as i was there. She would not budge back so i upped the curb and back down again so she could get past the back of my car. There was a old man and woman just inside there front garden talking. As i drove past i heard a mans voice shout 'get off the pavement you slut'I stopped and it ended up it was ther son hanging out of the upstairs window. He carried on giving me more abuse.I was so upset that i got back into my car to go back into work to calm down and the son came flying out with a camera and starting taking photos of my car.Does anyone know what will happen to me?
