Thanks Sue, I only left the thread for a couple of days as I had no response to it and was feeling invisible! I thought I might join the thread killers thread but it might die! Jacky :-) |

Jacky makes you wonder why they set such a high target would of thought they would of been pleased for all people to take part. Thought that this time we could do it as a double winner. The person who won would get the prize and then would give everyone that took part a number and then draw one out of a hat and whoever has that number can decide what charity the money goes towards. Means people would have a double chance of winning as if they didn't win the prize their charity could benefit |

High Dawnie, Thanks for asking. I did put a thread up at the time but took it off after a couple of days. We raised in total nearly £1100 which unfortunately was not enough for us to be allowed to take part in the walk as between us we needed £3000. I asked about it numerous times but the decision was final.I questioned this as out of over 1000 people who registered to walk, in the end only 600 took part. One person I know was short by £100. We could have given our credit card details and if the amount was not raised within a certain time, it would have been debited from the card. Anyway, we were pleased that we raised the amount we did as it has gone to a good cause and although hard work, the fund raising was fun at times. The person who won the Tick Tock donated it to The Macmillan Coffee morning. In future, I would not sign up for something that required such a high amount to be raised in order to take part. Let me know about the Tick Tock / Treasure Hunt. What will it go towards? Jacky :-) |
