ive just had a call to tell me that my aunty, mums sister has died, i cant even remember the last time i saw her, and she lives in the same town as us, mum and her fell out years ago and i dont think id have known her if id seen her, So rest in peace aunty Maureen, i didnt know you, but i probably should have done xxLynnxx

Sorry to hear that Lynn - as one whose only living relatives are a couple of cousins living over a hundred miles away, I find it very sad to hear how families fall out. Jay

Lynn dont feel bad she probably knew where you were as well and could of contacted you. Hugs though cos it isn't nice feeling like you do dxx

thoughts and prayers for you and your family. my son and daughter dont speak over a falling out they had two years ago. it make me very sad/mad that i am piggy in the middle trying to keep the peace with them both. as has already been said, life is too short, i could cry sometimes. my grandaughter does not know her aunty because of this rift and it is not HER fault. heaven forbid that anything should happen to one of them before they heal the rift. tina x

Sad but true, that many people leave things until it is too late - yet we never learn. May your Aunt rest in peace, and hopefully when the time comes, she will welcome her estranged family and you will all be friends together. Liz

hi steve and all, im fine today, was just a bit upset last night, another relative i didnt know, there seems to be so many in my family, since we lost dad 2 years ago i havent had any sort of relationship with my mother, and its not just me that she has disowned, my sisters too, and her grandaughters, which is very sad, we knew she only tollerated us for dads sake, and when we lost him that was it. she hasnt been a good mum to us girls, yet the boys she adores i have found this very hard to come to terms with especially when the walks past her grandaughters and puts her nose in the air, We havent done any thing to deserve this off her, but i soppose ive come to learn that its her loss, im fed up of trying to build bridges, she doesnt want us to, so i have to learn from this, one thing it has taught me is to be a better mother than she could ever have been But all that said i bloody well miss having a mum there to turn to and be friends with it makes me wonder if mum will ever acknowledge us girls (i have 2 sisters ) again before its too late xxLynnxx
