I caught part of a feature on the lunchtime news about a project to record everyday happenings on Tuesday next from all over the country, as a means of providing a snapshot of life in our times..... Does anyone know more? It sounded interesting and doesn't require all the information to be sent immediately. |

I'll be at the LDS as usual, Gwyn. Then work in the evening. Not exactly world-breaking, although I may fit in a little light shopping after the LDS Gwynne |

I'm trying to find some information online. 'Boring mundane' happenings are just what they want recorded.I think that's why a mid week day has been chosen. As the person on the feature was saying In 100 years time, people might wonder what texting was all about and be intrigued by putting petrol in cars... Who knows? .........Just think what changes there have been in the last 100 years and wouldn't we like to know little details of everyday life as well as what happened at celebrations or big events? Sheila I wish I'd been paying attention rather than popping in and out of the room. I now think it may have been on BBC News and maybe featured Dan Snow talking about the project. Gwyn |

One Day in History it's called. Seems to be a sort of giant blog of up to 1,000 words. All on the National Trust website, highlighted on the front page. Sheila |
