Any ideas on how I can look for an address on a census document? I know an ancestor died in 1873 therefore he should be on the 1871 census, I've tried all variations of his name and wondered if I could look up his address it would tell me if the family were still there. Paula

1837online has a search facility for 1871 census but not sure that all counties are listed yet. The search can be done for free but you need units to view the result Maureen

Have you put a request on the Records Office Board? If you give the names and address someone with access to Ancestry may well look it up for you. Good luck.
