Hi Catherine, yes some may not still be current members....you can't tell. When I first started I was amazed to see both my bil's had/have a tree on and when asked, they hadn't been on for at least a couple of years and had numerous email address changes since. Anyway, there are still lots that will contact you - I have two pages now of definate contacts and access to their trees so just wait and you will find them, obviously the more in your tree, the better response you will get! I started to add as many siblings as possible from the censuses and got a wonderful response then, and of course all lead back to same trunk in the end. Good luck, Sally |

The person may no longer be a member, you may never receive a reply. On the Positive side the person may still be a member but only accesses GR from time to time. There are times when people do not reply for reasons of their own - many may be looking for additions to their tree rather trhan giving information so take care before you give info and ask for the connections they have to the one that you are searching then you know whether to give information on what you have or not. |

new to this board and have only recently started doin my tree .thought it to good to be true cos within 2 days found 4 people who have same relatives in their tree as me.i have e mailed them all and asked for info but no reply.how long could some of these people been members ? might i never get a reply? could anybody tell me how this works and could these people not even be members any more ?thanks cathy x |
