The BETA tree has been up as an 'either/or' option for some time now as they've been adjusting and testing it. Raymond, are you using Windows 98? It sounds like your machine can't handle the graphic demands required of the new format. Persoanlly I like it. It's clear and 'pretty' and easy to navigate. I'm sure as with everything else that requires change and adjustment in this world we'll all come to get used to it in time. XX Sioux |

Try opening a tree using your contacts list. It opens up their tree in the old tree program and you can just switch it to your own tree. The old tree program does seem faster. I also have found the problem that you can only add a marriage date at the same time as adding a partner. Try and do it after you've added them and the options are just not there... Copy and paste don't seem to work with the new program either. |

Haddnt seen any notice and Thought the tree was still BETA, meaning that it was still in progress but that also means that we should have another program to use. If they can speed up the loading and let me marry of my relatives I would happily use the Beta thing. |

I have just been trying to work the new Beta Tree out and it is hardwork. I would much rather have the old tree back. Twice since I went on it my computer has crashed with a serious error report, and I can only put it down to the tree, am I correct? I think if the members who are dissatified with the new system complained hard and long enough they should do something about it. I have already sent TWO very strong complaints in, surely they can not ignore everyone, even though they are running it like a dictatorship. Did they give any warning they were going to do this? if they did I must a missed it? |
