Thats nice Janet , I have a creosote memory too, my father stored all the apples at the back of the garage one year and the railway sleepers that stopped the apples rolling around had been treated with it, they all had a funny taste that year, I'm still alive 30 years on LOL I think Freesias were dads favourite flower so I treat myself now and then to remind me of him. Some years ago I was at Heathrow browsing in duty-free before my flight, when a sales lady squished me with perfume before I had a chance to object! It was FOUL, but it reminded me of something - just couldn't place it. Eventually it came to me - it smelled like the Elsan fluid we used to use in the empty-out toilets on our boating holidays when I was a kid!!
