I have started the Conjurors bird but have not managed to 'get into it' yet. Finding it a bit disjointed and, so far, not very gripping. Will persevere!! Haven't got the others yet. ann Glos

Got my copy of Lark Rise to Candleford today from the library and it's the illustrated version! Also got The Conjuror's Bird from Asda for £3.73

sorry Ann - only just got on here - have seen it thank you. I've read Conjuror's Bird and I have my own copy of The Lovely Bones. Just need to try and find the classic. Maz. XX

Doesn't look like Maz has seen this so I will send it back up. It wasn't that the library didn't have it but that the copies were all out and in two cases overdue and with waiting lists. I guess they must have been books chosen for other book reading groups. I might be able to get the classic in the main library gloucester when I go into town. I didn't want to order the books because if it takes a week or more as it has in the past I wont have time to read them anyway. Ann Glos

I had a hige problem with all the books from Glos libraries, managed to get a copy of The Conjuror's bird from the next village, otherwise it was order and wait over a week for it, they take ages to come through. larkrise seemed to have long reserved waiting lists at every library she looked at, and the lovely bones was the same. I can't order it as they take so long so I will have to see what I can find in town. Ann Glos
