Can you believe some people my OH takes some veg to local farm shop and exchanges veg for Eggs etc, anyway the lady who runs the shop said she had sold two cabbages to a customer and she brought them back as she had found one caterpiller. Obviously not heard of Organic Veg. Sad Eh! June.

Some people want veg. to be clinically clean, I think. Reminds me of when my daughter was helping at a college allotment and brought home curly kale. I was happily preparing it and on the last few leaves found caterpillars in the folds. Thinking I must have missed seeing them on all the rest of the kale, I checked every piece again but there weren't any there. I wouldn't think of returning the cabbage to the farm shop because of a caterpillar. Gwyn

I'm going to be a bit sad here, June, I am surprised that she was able to carry them back to the shop, 'cos 'Caterpiller' is the maker of industrial machinery... A Caterpillar is a small animal that lives in vegetation.. Bob
