I think I have broken my baby toe :(

I disscolated my little toe a couple of years ago.4 toes pointed forward baby toe pointed left.Got to the hospital and the doctor sat across my legs with his back to me and pulled my toe so hard and jammed it back in the socket he broke it.He then strapped that toe to the next one.Very painful though so know how you feel. Thanks for the advice Sue, my friend who is a nurse said the same thing. Hubby put some surgical tape around the two toes, hurt like the dickens when he did it. Lynda, is your nail growing back? My nail is half off now and I wonder if it will just die. Teresa |

You have my sympathy, it's so painful when you hurt your toe like that. You are doing the right thing, remember to keep it elevated as well. You could try putting a piece of gauze between your hurt toe and the one next to it, then put some strapping around both, so one acts as a splint for the other. Sue |

I bashed my toe on the skirting board tonight and it's now turned black all over. It's a holiday tomorrow so my doctor won't be in. I guess I will have to see if there is a clinic open close to me. I'm sitting here with an ice pack tied around my foot. It's soooo painful! :((( Teresa |
