Alston? Should be good, the write up in the mail was so funny. Showed pics of these blokes sat at the bar all bored leaning on there hands, not a woman in site. The highlight of the week was something like the manure festival. catherine xx |

Just looked it up, it is quite isolated there, north of Penrith, looks like it is in the mountains, I bet it is a wild place and the women will have left for civilisation. Ann glos |

The Town that's looking for Love. I was reading about it a couple of weeks ago, in the mail on sunday. It's about a villiage in Cumbria, where the men out number women 10 to 1. One of the guys (vince) who lives in the town decided to take matters into his own hands by setting up a dating web-site to lure eligible women to the villiage. Within weeks he and his friends had been inundated with replies from around the world. This documentary follows vince and his mates in their quest. I read they even took them down to London for a photo shoot and kitted them out in more inspiring clothes for a photo-shoot. They are aparently making a film. Worth watching-C4 10pm. catherine xx |
